Supercar Driving Experience

As you may know, it was my birthday on the 3rd of November, but unfortunately, I had to go on a cadet weekend so I couldn't celebrate my birthday on my birthday.

So instead, my girlfriend, Jess, wanted to surprise me and take me out on Sunday but it was a surprise so I couldn't know where we were going or what we were doing. So we set off to this place that was in Stafford, we get to this large field with planes and an airstrip, we get closer to this airstrip and I see and hear some cars in the distance.

As we park up and walk to the reception area, I can see loads of supercars with a massive flag that says "Supercar Driving Experience". Now at this moment, I was just in shock, I have always wanted to go to a driving experience event and I couldn't believe it was actually happening.

We signed in at reception and she told me what I was doing today, first I was driving a Ford Mustang, 5100cc, V8, 530bhp, around a track. Then I was driving a Ford Focus RS, 2500cc, 350bhp, around a track. Then I got to be a passenger in a Nissan GTR, 3800cc, 540bhp around the track.

All of these cars were absolutely insane to drive, you literally could not move out of your seat, 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Going around the corner in the RS, it stuck to the track so you could go around at 50 in the corners and then out of the corners you could get up to 170mph.

Then after driving the supercars, I then got to go to a different part of the centre which was more with off-roading vehicles. So we made our way down there and there was an old land rover discovery. It was battered about and all the gears were not working apart from the first gear, so I stayed in first gear around this forest, which you wouldn't really want to go any faster.

It was weird tho, it had 2 gear sticks, one was the normal 6-speed stick, but the other was low medium, and high differential, or something like that. It really confused me.
But driving it was really good, it ploughed its way through all the thick mud, it didn't even slow down either.

Then finally, I got to learn how to do handbrake turns in a Renault Cleo around this small track next to the off-roading track. It was an old Cleo but it was kitted out for handbrake turns. The handbrake was changed so that it could not stay on, it had no button and was flimsy so all you have to do is rip it up and then let it drop, to make life easier.
It took me about 2 laps to get used to it and then after that, I got the hang of it. It was so much fun and it put so much adrenaline into me when I was going around the corners.

Overall I had such an amazing day, doing something that I have always dreamed of doing, now I really want to buy a supercar. Anyone wanna buy me one?
