Car MOT

So I found out that my car's MOT had run out, so obviously the first thing I did was book it in to get its MOT done. This was a very simple task to do and I thought that it would pass it straight away...

I was wrong, my car failed "catastrophically", I need a new steering system, new rear brake disks, and new headlights. I have no idea how much this is going to cost and if I can get it done anytime soon so, for now, I'm going to need to get the train or the bus and find alternative ways to get to work until I can afford to fix it.

Why are cars so expensive sometimes?.
